Dr. K. R. Rao is the senior-most plastic surgeon in the Saurashtra region and a pioneer who has shaped the field of reconstructive surgery in Western India.
He served as the Head of the Department of Plastic Surgery at M. P. Shah Medical College, Jamnagar, where he was instrumental in building and expanding the department. Drawing from his advanced training at PGI Chandigarh, one of India’s premier institutes, he introduced cutting-edge techniques and state-of-the-art technology to Rajkot.
As the first surgeon to bring plastic surgery expertise to the city, Dr. Rao has touched countless lives with his surgical precision and compassionate care. His dedication has inspired three of his children to become plastic surgeons, continuing his vision and values.
Today, he remains a mentor and guiding force at Rao Aesthetics, upholding the principles of ethics, innovation, and patient-first care.
